Replaced Leaking Shower Valve and Cartridge in Escondido, CA
A leak was reported from behind the wall in a guest bedroom by a residential client. We proposed and gained consent to open the drywall to investigate the status of the water lines. We discovered a 3/4′′ pressure regulator leaking due to age and corrosion after opening and removing the drywall. We got permission to replace the valve, so we started by turning off and draining the water system. The previous gate valves and pressure regulators were removed and replaced with new emergency ball valves and pressure regulator valves made of rigid copper. Water was returned to the home once the valves were rebuilt, and the system was inspected for leaks and proper operation.
